Seley

Seley is short for Selina, meaning Moon. She was born & raised in Zurich, Switzerland to a Ghanaian father & a German mother. Seley’s early days were not the conventional kind, as she was quickly introduced to a vast spectrum of opposite customs, beliefs & ideologies, shaping her into becoming a distinct, well-rounded, and multi-faceted woman, perfect for this new quest of yours in the music business.

Conquering regions, pushing boundaries, and bridging gaps between parallel worlds through the gift of storytelling, which is wrapped in Afro melodies, powered by her foundation in hip-hop & her afro heritage. Her earliest & fondest memories were from singing in the church choir at a young age, which naturally helped hone & develop her talent quickly.

Outside the church, she drew influences from pop groups like Destiny’s Child, pop icons such as Britney Spears, and hip-hop stars like Lauryn Hill & Erykah Badu. In recent years, she’s been in tune with Afro music, inspired most recently by a modern-day Afropop star, Ayra Starr. In a true 90s fashion, she speaks on personal experiences, and delicate subject matter, presented in memorable rhythms, suitable for a drive home or a night out with friends.
